Donna and Terri became friends at MixinMania a few years ago. They haven’t met in person yet, but they have enjoyed their friendship through MemoryMixer sharing ideas and helpful hints including their latest project, getting their MemoryMixer Content Organized so they could easily find what they were looking for. Terri had already started and inspired Donna to do the same. They have both completed their organizing task and wrote to us sharing their excitement and ideas. They have given us permission to share them with you.
They came up with the idea:
Create a new album for every embellishment, paper pack, Quick Mix, or project pack, and print it off on paper, with identifying information on each page as to where to find the item in each section of the Memory Mixer file trees. The end result was a catalog that provided photos of the various products in our Memory Mixer software – they shared “we were smitten with happiness to have conquered that challenge to make our Memory Mixer experience more organized!”
Both projects turned out a bit different. Donna printed her themed packs onto colored paper at a local print shop. Terri wanted a little more flexibility in organization and was looking for the most cost effective method of printing, so she created her pages on 4 x 6 prints that she sent to Costco for processing. She then purchased fancy binders and clear sheet protectors with various sized pockets.
- Organize Printouts in a binder by category.
Their categories included:
- Embellishments
- Quick Mixes
- Labels and Swirls
- One Page QM
- Alphabets
- Paper Packs
- Easter, Halloween and Christmas
- Borders and Clusters
- Specialty Pages
- Paper Packs
3. They also have created an excel spread sheet listing their digital content. More information to come....
They are both excited to have finished their projects. Now they can easily browse their designs before sitting down to the computer and plan their upcoming photo projects!
Thank you Donna & Terri for sharing your ideas with us.
PS They both created their covers using the Preview Catalog QuickMix.
This Preview Catalog QuickMix tutorial has additional ideas for organizing your content as well.
I LOVE this! For years I have been saving the images of every pack I purchase but when printing them out, I sometimes lose some of the detail and I find it not as organised as I would like. THis will be very useful! Thanks!!!!
