1883: James Ritty Patented the Cash Register with
I think it is fascinating to see the inventions that
we take for granted on a daily basis. I
know we don’t really hear many bells ring at the cash registers anymore, but
what an ingenious idea for that day. Hmmm..
maybe the day should be National Shopping Day in his honor… no grocery shopping
doesn’t count, unless you’re buying croissants.
Blueberry Pancake Day. Celebrate by eating some blueberry pancakes
for breakfast or even dinner. Did you

I remember as a little girl my dad making blueberry pancakes
for breakfast while we were camping. They smelled and tasted so yummy. I don’t remember if we had them any other
times, but I can’t eat or make blueberry pancakes without thinking of him and
our little camping trip.
Remember the little things do make a difference, they make a
memory that brings happiness for a long time.
Whatever you are celebrating today, have a great day!

National Chocolate Cake Day
thankful for the inventors who have made our lives so good....but I'm
really thankful for chocolate, in any shape or form. Our Best Bites is a
great blog for recipes. If you haven't heard of them, you might pay
them a visit. I went straight to their blog to see what chocolate cake
they would make...they have several recipes, this is the one that spoke
I have loved getting to know more about
the places people live as we are Celebrating Everyday. Today is Australia Day...and it’s already
half over. This is a day to celebrate the

Today we're celebrating.

Happy Birthday, Michigan! I think it is interesting that the 26th state entered on

I absolutely love seeing what each new day brings…today we

National Peanut Butter day
National Belly Laugh Day
National Compliment Day
I hate thinking that I need a day dedicated to giving
compliments, but I really like it as a reminder. Of course I enjoy receiving compliments,
but I also love giving them. There is a
great feeling that comes when you take a moment to notice positive traits in
those around you, and it is magnified when you take a moment to share it with
them. It makes the day better for
A few thoughts from others:
