We also like to do family "Year Books" but instead of a year in review I like to make them 100 page books about the whole year. I also like taking fun events that my kids have done and turn them into storybooks. My favorite is about the Princess Festival and how my daughter, Princess Averee, helps all the other princesses defeat their evil stepmothers or witches. It would be great to win a book and get another adventure in print.

I want to do a fairy tale book featuring my parents! I would start with their baby pictures then work up until their marriage then finish it off with the children. For the last page I want to have a family picture and the words happily ever after. This way the grand kids can see Grandma and Grandpa when they were little and it would be a fun book to look at. A free book would really help the process go a little faster so it could be done by Christmas.

ZOO BOOKS! I love making ZOO BOOKS! Especially using the Ettes and Company Zoo kit. I made one a few years ago with rhymes and little facts about the animals. I made it interactive, as my children were small. (How many horns are on the rhino's nose?) And they loved seeing the pictures of themselves throughout the mix as well. Now, we've recently gone to the zoo again, I want try and do an ABC's book with the animals. I'm so excited--thanks for the demo, and a FREE BOOK would make making a ZOO BOOK even more exciting! :)

I just completed my first digital scrapbook! I love how easy My Memories Suite is to use! My first book was a book of old photos and old handwritten recipes of my deceased mother in-law that I made as a birthday gift for my sister in-law. Everyone loved it so much that I will be ordering more!
I am currently working on books of our Alaska cruise/tour that we took this past May, our trip to Disney theme parks with our grandson and our 30th anniversary trip last August to Hawaii! I am hooked on digital scrap booking! Thanks & keep the great ideas coming!

The very first books I did were for my two young adopted children to tell them their adoption stories. They love their books, and they love to share their stories with anyone that will listen. It was a great way for them, as young ones, to understand their story and to know it was a good thing for them to be adopted.

Working on 3 books currently. 1) a vacation book of our cruise we took with our 2 children and my parents 2) We currently live in Germany and set a goal when we first arrived to visit 100 castles and other historical sites before we leave looks like we will reach our goal before moving this fall so creating a book to commemerate our acheivemnants and travels. 3) Being a military family we move every 3 years and with the kids in school it is hard to try to keep all those cute little keepsakes that come home from school, so i take a picture or scan all items and will make a yearly school scapbook. This is also a great idea for teachers at the end of the year!

I love these photo books! I've made several of our family vacations, and we look at them frequently. Now I am working on recipe books for my kids to take with them when they move out on their own. They will be full of their favorite recipes stories of of times we've used them, who it came from and of course photos of the food (being prepared/enjoyed by our family). Such good memories of times spent together!

My husband and I live pretty far away from family and will be moving overseas after Christmas. I find that photo books to have laying on the coffee table are great ways to keep the memories of family times alive. I am planning on making one of hubby's childhood for his parents for Christmas as well as one of us. Thanks for the extra ideas! It'd be great to win!

Photobooks are my favorite way to get my layouts printed! So far I've printed 8: I do one book for each year for my kids until they turn 5. Then I print off one once I reach 20 pages (but slow down the scrapping so I don't do every adorable picture, just the important things that happen to them.)
I hope to someday give each of my kids their set, plus one for me to keep too!

My husband and I have been together since high school and he is quite the poet. So I am working on one that is a collection of all the poems he has written to me and our kids throughout the years. It is fun to add pictures that go along with the poems he has written. It will be something to cherish for years to come...but what book isn't. They are awesome and the possibilities are endless!

I have so much fun making my books! I got started a little late and am still playing catch up for each year. I just finished my book for 2008 and included little love notes/letters that my husband and I wrote to each other through out the year so that we could look back and remember them and the time we were at in our lives. He always writes me the most amazing little notes, and I love re reading them! I don't have kids yet, but it could be a good way to keep track of each month 1, 2, 3 months, etc. and then next to a picture of each month they are at write what they learned to do or say and as they get older funny conversations or questions, first word, first step, etc. So many fun ideas!! Thanks everyone else for sharing too!!

I love MemoryMixer Photo books! Photobooks were what actually got me started in digital scrapbooking - I wanted to make a book of my children's first month for the grandparents for Christmas one year. I have since completed Photo books of our wedding, my son's first year (200 pages) and my daughter's first birthday. I have two in the works right now: my daughter's first year (which will be about 300 pages) and a Project 52 album for 2011.
Last year, we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of my the family reunion my Great-Grandparents started so I have been playing with the idea of making a photobook for that.
I also have several nature layouts with uplifting quotes that I have made that I would like to one day organize into an inspirational gift album.

I am in the process of completing a "Watch Us Grow" book. I have 3 boys and people are always telling us that they look so much alike. So I decided to put together a book that has side by side by side pictures of them at different ages up to age one. I have hospital, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and a year. I have an individual page for their year pictures as well as a page that just has random pictures of each boy but all the other pages have all three boys on them. It's turning out cute and will be a great Christmas gift for the grammas this year!

I loved Amy's idea for family Christmas gifts. I think it would be awesome to do a "family history photo book" for Christmas! Do a fun photo (or 2 or 3) of each person to be remembered on one side of the two page layout and then facts and memories on the opposite side about that person and or the photos!! Include birthdate and place, death date and place - marriage(s)date & other critical info about each person, and then a great story or facts that you can come up with. Kind of a book of remembrance but in a terrific modern form! Thanks Amy - for getting my ideas going!! The opportunities are endless! Here's hoping to win a free photobook!
